High insteps
While the shoe fits properly in terms of length and width once on, the opening is so constricted — with minimal stretch or structural give — that getting the foot into the shoe is needlessly difficult. For individuals with a high instep or higher dorsal foot volume, the entry process becomes frustrating, even with a shoehorn. This reveals a fundamental design flaw: the shoe lacks adequate ingress flexibility relative to its interior volume. If your foot is the slim line instep model this would be a stellar choice.

Bad Product, Returned…
Like several others have reviewed, there is some sort of manufacturing issue on the toe box of the shoes that made for an extremely uncomfortable feeling right on the big toe of both feet. I unlaced and re-laced the shoes several times, tried to give them several days of breaking in, but I had no luck, so I decided to send them back.

I love it! Thank you!
The widest sneaker to date that worked for my toes, which are all 4 the same size as my big toe, haha! I really love this brand because of the toe box! I use it for the gym and love it!

Buy on their website
Extremely disappointed I ordered these off Amazon, or in general, I haven’t decided yet…Their website gives you a 100 day trial so that might be more worth it on there for purchase.Im a barefoot kind of gal if not wearing flip flops or birks- have been for 30 yrs- and when I took the jump for barefoot shoes I chose these for working out, after many years of looking.I sized my foot to a T and made the purchase on here to get specifically this style- which wasn’t available on their website. After “breaking” them in after a month of wear (and well over my return date on Amazon) I realized they consistently rub my big toe/joint raw. I don’t wear socks that often to get a full foot feel when moving in these, though the times I have they still rub me raw/leave imprints. After a month of wear, I decided to wash them by hand, hot/warm water with some dawn+bleach and soft bristle tooth brush to get the mud off.. well before the mud came off the whole Vivo honeycomb “logo” on the side completely peeled off of both shoes :(The shoes still have spots of dirt on them and a permanent foot print of mine, which doesn’t bother me bc they’re white and supposed to be used so I fully expected it- I just thought they’d last a lil longer than a month before wearing in like that..To top it all off, these shoes are extremely- I mean wildly hard to get on.Like I break a sweat and wanna scream - hard lol I couldn’t believe it, thought it was bc of how wide my foot is- but isn’t that the point?Anyway. 2 stars because maybe it’s my lack of knowledge in this shoe game. And they’re pretty when not muddy.Photos are after 2 hours of wear

Comfortable fit and washable (teenager recommended)
My son (the shoe hater) loves these. They are his second pair of barefoot shoes and he lives in them. They become a little less fresh after a bit, but are just fine after a run through the wash.

Very comfortable barefoot shoe. Snuggles your feet, but that snuggle makes them a bit slow to put on
I love Vivobarefoot and have four pairs of different models. They are all strong, durable and meet the strongest expectations on a barefoot shoe. This model is also very comfortable, if you can get it on! The collar around the shoe opening is quite tight, and while the material is stretchy, it still takes effort to put on the shoe. Also, the shoelaces are more decorative as the snugness of the shoe makes them redundant. I even removed mine as I didnt think they added to the style or function. I've found that due to the time it takes to put them on, I fall back on other Vivobarefoot models that are quick to pull on, when I am on the run. That is the reason I took off a star. If you are happy with taking your time, or if you were to stretch the elastic collar, I am sure you will love them.

Top material problem
Bought these since I already use vibram shoes. Comfort and grip is great. However, the material of the laces has a "plastic" that irritates the top of the foot where it creases when stepping. Apparently it is a common issue with this model according To some forums. Returning and ordering the Lite III to try instead

Great lifting shoe!
Great quality shoes. Use them specifically for my leg days at the gym and it’s the closest thing you can get to lifting barefoot. Highly recommend.
