Fantastic value
Fantastic value for money tap! Purchased to replace a mixer that had a permanent drip. Very easy to install, only took 10 mins from start to finish after getting the old one off. Quality connectors, water flows out lovely with no flashback. Seems sturdy enough.

Great replacement caravan tap
What a fantastic tap, and great service.A five star review, not just for the tap but for Amazon too.First day on site in our caravan, the washroom tap split and began leaking. I managed to blank off the pipes but we had no water to the washroom sink.An original replacement tap was above £80, with nobody holding stock anyway. So ,straight to amazon. At £20, I was expecting some cheaply finished badly made tap that would do just as a temporary measure. However, it is such a great quality domestic tap that it will be staying in place, and when the caravan kitchen tap inevitably fails, I will replace it with another one of these. It's extremely well made, with absolutely no play or slack on the swivel faucet. The tap control has a lovely positive, solid feel to it and allows easy and accurate mixing of hot and cold water, and flow rate. The chrome finish is faultless, and it really looks the part. We have taps at home that cost 5 times as much as this, and this looks and feels every bit as well made. Its also so easy to fit, with no tools required. The quality stainless flexible tails supplied terminate in a standard 1/2" tap fitting, and the other end screws securely into the tap body by hand. The plastic locking collar is moulded to be gripped and tightened securely just by hand, and the spreader washer and rubber seal really seat it down firmly without any further sealant required.Fitting took no more than 5 minutes in the existing hole. If you have to bore a hole as well, then it would be a 10 minute job start to finish. It really is that easy to fit.A note for caravaners, I did have to buy an additional pair of fittings, some john guest 1/2" tap to 12mm push-fit, to connect the tails to the caravan pipework ( see the picture) . I think they were a tenner and it all went together with no dramas. I didn't even have a spanner for the 1/2" tap fittings, but the rubber washer supplied in the tails is so good that I could wind them tight enough to seal just with my fingers.Fantastic tap, easy to fit, perfect finish.Oh, and the five stars to amazon? I ordered these at 7.00pm on the platinum jubilee Thursday, they were delivered to a local drop point and ready for collection by 4.00 pm next day, in spite of it being platinum jubilee Bank Holiday Friday.Holiday saved, caravan repaired, what can I say?A great tap, and a five star review not just for the tap but for Amazon too.We arrived on our caravan site and the washroom tap immediately split, leaking water everywhere. I managed to blank the pipes, but it left us with no water to the washroom sink.A direct replacement tap was over £90, but nobody was holding stock. So, straight onto Amazon. I found this tap and for £20 I was expecting a cheaply made, poorly finished tap that would do as a temporary replacement.I was wrong. The fit and finish are amazing for the price. We have taps at home costing 6 times the price of this, and this one is every bit as good.It feels very solidly put together. The finish is flawless, and the tap control has a heavy, positive feel making it easy to accurately adjust the mix and flow. There is no play or slack on the swivelling faucet, which also has a nice solid feel to it. This tap is so nice that we will most definitely keep it as a permanent replacement replacement, ad when the kitchen tap inevitably fails, I'll replace it with another one of these. The major plus is that it is so easy to fit without any tools. The quality stainless flexible tails screw into the body and seal by hand. The plastic locking collar is moulded to be gripped and tightened securely just by hand, and the spreader washer and rubber seal really seat it down firmly without any further sealant required.A fantastic tap for the money, and it took less than five minutes to fit into the existing hole. If you need to drill a hole for it, then it's a 10 minute job start to finish.A note for caravaners. I had to buy an additional pair of fittings (john guest 1/2" to 12mm push-fit) to adapt the tails for the caravan pipework (see pictures). They were a tenner for the pair and it went together with no dramas. The rubber seal in the tail is such good quality that I even managed to attach the john guest fitting tight enough to seal just with my fingers.A last note about the service. I ordered these on platinum jubilee Thursday bank holiday at 7.00pm. The were delivered to a local collection point by 4.00pm the following day, platinum jubilee Friday bank Holiday.Great tap, great service, Holiday saved.

Simply but very functional
I ended up purchasing this item because I could not install the more sophisticated ones because of limited space under the sink. This model is simple but sturdy. It is quite easy to install, without small pieces to fiddle with in the limit space under the sink. While it does not have any of the "frills" (swivel spout, pull out, or replaceable head), it does the job and it looks great. And the price is good too. Great value!

Outstanding Value
Many years ago the first ceramic insert taps or faucets came onto the market with an eye watering bang. They promised perfect smooth useage and no leaks plus the ability to design much more funky taps. But the cost. Oh. My. God. The cost. I remember pulling open my wallet and shelling out the thick end of two hundre quid for a fancy sounding tap that She Who Must Be Obeyed wanted with tears in my eyes.Fast forward a few years and you can get a half decent looking tap with a cermic tap insert for less than twenty quid. This one was less than thirty quid for goodness sake. So cheap its not even worth worrying about fixing a tap when it leaks.Which is the slight negative because when the old rubber seating taps leaked you simply spent 2p and changed the rubber. When the cermic tap fails chances are the easiest and cheapest solution is to replace the entire unit which isn't very environmental.Anyway, after four years of kitchen use my previous tap started to drip and rather than let it go because I work overseas I changed it ASAP. It was almost identical to this one and if I was to guess probably made in the same factory in China. So roughly you could say this should give about four to five years of uninterupted service as a guide.Build quality is pretty good to be honest. Seals are well made and the overall feel is hefty with the lever giving a smooth action. You get all the fittings needed included to fit to a standard 15mm ball isolating valve or fitting which adds to the value. To fit is simple and I took about ten minutes from start to finish. I am a marine engineer so used to messing around with pipework but I doubt that even a complete newbie would struggle for much more than 20 minutes to change out this tap.Value is outstanding. Really. Effectively, this sould cost you less than four or five quid a year if it lasts as long as my last one.Looks are subjective but I like this simple, clean modern look. Its also high enough to allow you to fill a water jug or kettle easily.Overall this is hard to knock because its so well made for so little money.

Poor quality !!
Installed this tap and it lasted 2 months. After which the tap started to leak from inside !! had to call a plumber to replace with one from Screwfix - which hopefully will last !! Sent this one back to Amazon.. Real shame as it looked very good but cost me twice to have a plumber install it.

Loosens over time.
Works well good pressure but the fitting isn’t the best. Sometimes loosens up over time. Hence 3* review. Suppose you get what you pay for and at the price it’s not bad. Easy to use.

Twelve months update - still working well
Purchased and fitted just over 12 months ago and still working well. Very pleased with the style, design and function off the tap after having seen a similar style tap at an international hotel chain suite. Quality seems fine and haven’t experienced any problems.
