Victron EnergyMultiPlus Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger for 120 amp Battery, 3000VA 12-Volt

Bought this 3,000 Watt unit for my 2006 Catalina 36 MK2 yacht. My son and I installed this together with Victron Cerbo GX and the display, as well as 500amp shunt. The system has 3 x 200 amp hour LiFePO4 CHINS batteries, 3 water tank level sensors, a Renogy 175 Watt solar flex panel and Victron MPPT solar converter.It has worked well for 3+ years now. I monitor the system from anywhere in the world. Very happy with the performance. Appliances include Microwave, Air-conditioner, electric space heater, induction cooker top (not all at the same time as it will trip the yacht's circuit breaker.)

This inverter is probably the best quality inverter I have ever owned. I bought it to replace the original Xantrex RS2000 in my motorhome. It was modified sine, and multiple modern electronics would not play nice with it, and we wanted a residential fridge, so it was time.I ordered one that was listed in used/good condition, so it was missing the owners manual and the upper mounting bracket. As a workaround, I drilled holes in the very sturdy housing itself and put the bolts through that directly.As far as running my coach, EVERYTHING runs better! My GFI's no longer hum, the microwave runs hotter, and I can now run my wife's fancy DeLonghi coffee maker and splendid washer dryer combo straight off the inverter.It also ties into my existing Victron solar ecosystem well. I have yet to figure out how to set up auto start for my own 8000 generator, but it looks like it will accommodate that once I figure out the wiring.Overall, I am well pleased with this inverter.

I like the fact it’s not Renogy. After dealing with their customer service I am switching brands in hopes victron is better in the case of failure. Runs all my appliances efficiently and easy to install.

Inverter not working and after a month the distributor still is not on track with getting it replaced. DO NOT BUY THROUGH AMAZON AS THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT WITH VICTRON. A month after the unit quit working I still have not been issued a replacement or a repair order. Sitting in southern Texas and told today that I may need to ship it to Colorado and then what? The purpose to have an inverter is so you have 120 v power for the RV anywhere and not just 5 miles from a Victron distributor. No idea when or where we will have a working invertor again and apparently Victron really doesn't care either. Glad I am not sitting in Alaska today and freezing to death, because my inverter went out.

I upgraded a Victron Centaur battery charger and a failed Xantrex 1800 watt inverter to this new all in one, Victron battery charger/3000 watt inverter. Wow, what a great product! My friend from Germany, a Victron consultant had me order the Victron CERBO, Smart wires, Shunts and Victron monitör to help monitor inputs from shore power, generator and solar. I can now monitor power inputs and battery levels from 1000 miles away on my iPhone. We also wired the Victron Solar MPPT controllers to the CERBO to monitor the solar panels. I highly recommend this product for sailing vessels.

The product is durable and sturdy, and works great powering my house overnight without a genset

The MultiPlus was the perfect upgrade for our 5th wheel to improve our off-grid capabilities. We have (4) 100Ah BattleBorn batteries. The input current limit makes this completely compatible with our 2200W generator but limits charging current from 120A to about 75A. This has not been an issue as the batteries still charge at an astonishing rate. Best of all, the MultiPlus charger works well with our Renogy Rover solar controller allowing us to simply use whatever is available to charge/maintain the batteries.The 50A built-in transfer switch is perfect for RVs with a 30A input because the MultiPlus can be installed directly in line with shore power and it will handle the logic for when yo pass through or when to invert. We have a 50A shore power input which has 2 hot wires. The MultiPlus can only handle a single hot wire. We added an external transfer switch to pass shore power directly to the load center. The other option was to use (2) MiltiPlus units.For the most part, this unit cannot be heard from inside the RV. The one exception is during bulk and absorption charging after a moving day. This only lasts for a few hours and the unit is silent again before bed time.Programming the MultiPlus was a breeze, just follow the manual. There are many program examples to follow and help you select the program that is best for your application and battery type.The electrical wiring was also quite easy. Everything is front accessible once the front cover is removed.In summary, I would definitely recommend the MultiPlus to a friend.
