I travel for work and carry a small travel Bible with me. Unfortunately, my eyes aren’t 25 years old anymore. It’s hard for me to read that tiny print.This magnifier fixes that.It’s lightweight, easy to use, has a light and magnifies things beautifully. Bought two of these. They've been very handy. Good magnification and illumination. So far, it has been a good product.

Compact yet has large enough viewing space. Can be used with or without illumination. I keep 1 in my car,and another with me to use when I have to read something.

Compact, easy to carry in a pocket, has a true aspherical lens, so items out toward the edges are NOT distorted.

It's awesome and very useful

I had high hopes for being able to both carry this magnifier around and to use it at my desk.It feels cheaply constructed, but in fairness, performance should matter most. The single LED provides minimal light to the page or object underneath, and the lens is no better than blurry at its edges. The limited life of the batteries mentioned in some reviews takes a back seat for me to the lack of sharpness of this "optic".

I am a person with very low vision and I have used a number of different magnifying glasses. I have been using this one for the last two years as my preferred pocket magnifier. The size is perfect for slipping into a pocket or a wallet or purse. It’s extremely useful for use in restaurants, grocery stores, church, etc. The light is very bright and the magnifier seems to be well-made. The only thing I have had to replace in the past two years is the batteries. Because of the small size, I don’t recommend it for Reading books or newspapers, but it is perfect for magnifying things when you are on the go. I highly recommend it.

I was very disappointed when I got a chance to actually try out the iLumen8 illuminated magnifier. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I found it unusable for my application, i.e., reading my email and other large portions of text - it just didn't work for me.1) Surface of closed magnifier is nice and smooth - very pretty, unfortunately it causes magnifier to slip out of my shirt pocket when I bend over to pick something up off the floor- not practical for my use.2) Field of view turned out to be WAY smaller than I expected - not usable for my use.I actually feel bad about returning it because it seems to be a very nice magnifier - if you can make the small field of view and tendency to fall out of one's shirt pocket (always at an inappropriate moment)work for you - but it simply didn't for me.
