Battery fits and works quite well.
This was for a client. Kept the restored system for three charging cycles. Worked well within expected specs and battery life is fairly long on a Carbon X1.

Good buy
This battery came quickly, was easy to install, and had over half a charge, upon turning laptop on. Heat issue gone, and back to normal charging.

Pretty much garbage
Battery offered no improvement over 6y old factory one it replaced. Usable time on machine went from ~2hr on old battery to 1-1.5hr with this replacement.

Does not fit for Carbon X1 2013
Even though the FRU number is the same as the original battery on my laptop, the new one is bigger and it does not fit.

Works Just Like OEM
My X1 Carbon Gen 1 which is quite old now was in major need of a battery overhaul. I was getting battery life of only around 45 mins. It was simple to change out 6 screws i think, now i am getting around 5 hours. At first the battery wouldent charge but once i left the computer plugged in over night the "plugged in not chargeing" went away and the battery charged up to 100% and is now working just like new. For the price you cant beat this item
