Dumpling Daughter - Spicy Sweet Soy Sauce (16 fl oz Chef's Bottle)

This is a great mix of sweet and heat. Tried it on dumplings and much better than the sauce in the pack. I think it will be great with egg rolls too. Plan to try other flavors too.

This sauce is FANTASTIC! Yes, it’s a bit sweet and a bit spicy but it’s the perfect balance for my palate! I added it to some leftover coconut rice and it tasted fabulous!! I’m going to use it to make some cold pasta with vegetables (carrot slivers, green onions, peanuts, and bell peppers) and already know it’ll be delicious! I just hope Amazon keeps the price reasonable once others discover how delicious this sauce is! YUMMY!!!

I dropped off one star! I’ve bought this 5 times THREE (one was a gift, so embarrassing). Three of the five the “tops” leaked. Sticky mess. The one that was a gift leaked too. Now, it’s hard to appeal because I had them on auto delivery. So it was after 30 days to complain. But I did because the gift one leaked. I did get a bit of pushback, like why didn’t you call us before? Because by the time I used mine it was past the return date. But ultimately they made everything right. Just save your unleaking tops and if your bottle leaks pop on the good lid. But it’s delicious and be warned!

Very good in both quality and taste. I find that you don't need a lot of it at all to flavor your food unlike other sauces.

The flavor of this sauce is amazing. I cook with it but also use as a dipping sauce it is great for anything honestly. I originally found it at my local BJ's and was almost out and couldn't find there again so had to find more :)

I received my order promptly, which I appreciated. The bottle was larger and heavier than I expected, so that was nice. I peeled off the seal, gave it a quick one-two flip, and dolloped a sample on my fingertip. Immediately I knew this was the wrong approach. First, the viscosity of this sauce is such that it needs to be shaken - like, *seriously* shaken- for about 30 seconds, minimum, so that it almost emulsifies. Then you can taste a tiny bit, but the flavor from your fingertip or a spoon or a cracker are all going to be different! It’s a caramelly, peppery, fragrant flavor that I’ve never had before. I took my cues from the name and heated up some pork and veggie potstickers, then drizzled over a good amount of well-shaken DD sauce. Perfect! Later, I was enjoying some smoked Gouda on buttery crackers, drizzled on a bit. Brilliant! My favorite use so far has been in the cabbage dish I made for dinner. A shredded cabbage, onions, scallions, carrots, cooked ground sausage, and a couple of scrambled eggs. Garlic. Usually I would rely mainly on soy and stock for the flavor, but I shook the Dumpling Daughter sauce for a good long time, then added it liberally, along with a wee squeeze of lime and a splash of rice wine vinegar. It imparted such a wonderful deep flavor that I was able to use almost no stock at all, no sesame oil, barely any soy sauce, because they weren’t necessary, and the whole dish was much lighter and fluffier. I’m sure I’ll soon find other ways to use it!
