Item is excellent dealer didn’t fulfill the item of extra tip.as advertised says that it was not part of the sale. I have proof of advertisement.But I must say the rod does perform well as you can that was the first time I used it.Pity I didn’t get spare tip I think this rod is an asset to me

I bought the 9 foot #8 weight rod. Used twice and the tip broke during casting a #12 weighted Prince nymph. Not overly impressed with the functionality but it is a good looking piece. The rod is a med-slow rod that I was using for streamers and nymphs. While not exceedingly powerful, if you dont rush your casts, it can can easily cast weighted nymphs out 35+ yards without an issue. If you hurry your backcast or try to power through your forward cast it usually ends up in a horrible cast or a tangled mess. For a reference I have been fly fishing for 40 years and usually keep a group of 6 or 8 rods in my quiver at any time. I probably won't order another as I worry about the build quality from my experience.

I’ve had no complaints out of this rod, and it’s beautiful. Cast larger streamers great with the 8wt model. Matches up perfect with the Maxcatch Avid pro reel.

Ordered the 7/8 weight. Put it together. Was impressed with the fit and finish of the rod. Rod case is very nice. Took rod outside and false cast three times then grabbed the tip and made a reasonable arc to simulate actual pressure when a fish was on. SNAP!!!!! Rod broke in three pieces on the second section from the end. I hope this is only a defect and not a design problem. Ordered a replacement but the ship date is 2 weeks out. Not happy. Will update when new rod arrives.

For an inexpensive rod, it worked great! Hauled in several salmon in AK and was not disappointed.

This rod just snapped on a baby fish. Even if it didn’t snap, It’s action is too hard. it’s just an all around flop.
