I haven't actually used this for swimming yet. I just wanted to talk about the sizing of the suit to try and help others. I am 5 feet 7 inches tall and weigh 180 lbs. I ordered the XL and I feel as if it barely fits. I feel like I'm too tall for it, and the arms are a little short. Other than that it seems ok. Hope this helps!

The colour sections of this suit are not spf 50! I have a burn in the pattern of the suit on my arms. Not good!!!! See pic of my arm below.

I'm photosensitive due to an autoimmune disease, so I just figured I'd never be able to go hang out in the water with my friends ever again, resigned to the beach with a full suit of clothes on. Then I found this, and everything is changed! It's super comfy, not like a wetsuit. It's just a big bathing suit or leggings for your body. The fabric and shape is super forgiving (ordered one size up and everything is dandy!) and you have full range of motion 100% and don't have to tug at the fabric all day or when it is wet. So comfortable, so useful! Ordered the orange one with the hood. Love the hood, obviously. Covers my neck and my face and keeps the sun away. Made me feel like a superhero or something. Not going to use it for any fancy watersports or anything. But now I can vacation without being stuck in the hotel! A+!

The color choice is important, as each color could have a different style. I bought the orange one (bright coral orange hood, with a V-neck pattern of orange, and a very thin orange seam along each leg) and it is GORGEOUS. It is absolutely breathtaking, flattering, comfortable, well made. The black part is a matte finish, so it is very flattering. It has a slight amount of compression to it (82% nylon and 18% spandex), so it hides some curves, which is nice. The breast padding is useless and fits a little too low. The pads are removable, and I cut out the inside strip that holds the pads. The orange style even has cute little thumb holes to wear it lower on your hands. And the foot straps are useful. In terms of fit, I am 5'6" and 200 lbs. I have 40" bust. The XXL fits good enough. It is true to size. I will be wearing a swimsuit underneath, or possibly even a sports bra. The orange hood is a little weird, makes me look like an alien. However I am going to wear it scuba diving, so the hood will be useful to keep hair back. Oh! And it even comes with a little hair tie with a bead on it! So cute.OK now for the downside. I discovered the other colors might be a different style. I tried to order a 3X, just to see if that might fit a little better. But they didn't have the orange. They only had the aqua-blue-tiger-stripe pattern (ok not sure the exact name, but it's like turquoise accents with an animal print). I got it and it was really a different style, that I just didn't care for as much. The black material was shiny, and not as flattering. Showed every curve. The blue stripes were thicker and the animal pattern stretched over curves in an unflattering way. And really the 3X in the blue style fit about the same as the 2X in orange.So long story short (too late), I am keeping the orange in 2X, and I really love it. It is flattering, stylish, and just great!

Well, I bought the Orange & black version based on another reviewers comments about how this version looked on her since I was a very similar size to hers. She writes that the black and orange has matte black, but the suit I received was shiny and a bit thin in the black sections. I'm a 5'2" , 160 lbs, 36 D cup, and the suit was like a dang mammogram on my chest, TBH, I looked like a weird Squished pumpkin. In the Image, the orange appears more of a coral than straight up traffic cone orange, but in person, it WAS traffic cone orange! One look and I was thankful to return this eyesore. I guess everything isn't for everyone.

I used it for the first time today for lap swimming. It was great. A little snug, but I pulled it up the way you do tights and I didn't feel any pressure on the shoulders and the crotch remained comfortably roomy. No camel toe or anything which was fine by me. I am 5"5' and 165 lbs. The fit was fine. The only down side was that my breasts were really flattened and the pads are ridiculous circles - and look like you've put two slices of bologna under your suit. I took them out and left the lining pocket they were in. That was sufficient to give my nipples some modesty. The hood kept my hair out of my face. I don't know if the hood would stay in place without my goggles over it, but it worked really well with my goggles.8/15/17 UpdateI wore it on the river during our vacation going down the rapids on tubes. Much to my dismay the seam at the butt came undone! I had to steal my husband's rash guard to tie around my waist in order to protect my dignity. I don't feel like I put a lot of pressure on the suit, and it should not have ripped, but I will wear swim suit bottoms with my next one just in case!Other than that I did not get a smidgen of sun burn, no pink, nothing after hours on the river. I used the hood to protect the back of my neck and ears. Seeing as sun block is bad for the fishes and the coral reef and expensive, this is a good thing.7/20/18 - UpdateThis year for our river trip I bought a new one in a bigger size to avoid the southern exposure situation figuring I was stressing it and that explained the seam coming undone. This time I made sure I didn't scrape my bottom against rocks going down the river (I also wore a swim suit bottom underneath). Unfortunately the seam at my bottom is already coming undone. I think there is some poor quality work or materials. Buyer beware. I am going to reinforce the seams because I love the suit.

I recently wore this suit in Maui on vacation. it was great for snorkeling, it helped keep me warm in the water and protect me from the sun. Great construction. Very comfortable.

Absolutely loved it. Good quality, well made and good fit too. Print quality is also nice.
