The controller is very smooth and new, one of the best controller that I've ever tried, the only thing that I dislike and I gave it 4 starts instead of 5, is the price since it should be cheaper because you can find it in the market in cheaper price.

When just bought it works well and responsive but after a while does not hold charge for long (drops from 3 bars to zero in 10 minutes) and a warning starts to appear on the screen saying it is not a genuine product

I bought this controller 6 months ago and have been using it ever since. Initially it seems like the real deal with even the serial number on the back being traceable on the Sony website. However, after 4 months of usage, the controller has started acting weird. The L2 and R2 buttons have become squeaky, the right analogue stick sometimes gets stuck if you press R3 and has to be pulled out. A notification also pops up on the screen occasionally saying that "This might not be a genuine product and might not function properly". Having used several PS4 controllers in the past and the amount I paid for this, it is quite disappointing.

I own a PS4 but I bought this to use on my PC. Everything is well so far but my issue is that the item I received from buying from Amazon.ae seller wasn't from my local region (middle east) or even North America. It was a japanese or a korean version, which is fine but it makes me feel uneasy as I was worried I bought a fake item! I wish this would have been mentioned in the description of the item!
