I was concerned when I opened the kit and it was a little different than some of the marketing images. Once I experimented a little, it included everything I needed to compress the springs in my BMW e36. The setup required mounting the base brackets on the cam tray studs at an angle, which isn’t ideal, but since the force applied is minimal I wasn’t too worried about it. It did the job well. The materials are good quality and the case is handy for storage. I recommend this product.

So this really is designed for heads with the valve cover bolts aligned with each other (top bolt is perpendicular to the corresponding one on the bottom) but I was able to make it work on my 3.8L Chrysler V6 by only putting bolts on one side (the bottom in this case). Just use bolts where you'll be holding the most pressure. It was an absolute pain in the rear and I was going to return the tool, however, in the end I wouldn't have been able to do it without this tool. I decided to keep it and leave a decent review. If your doing the valve springs on the head nearest your firewall, then good luck (you're gonna need it, and a lot of prayer). Thankfully mine was number 5 cylinder so, although on the rear head, it was on the right-most side.

Bought it for d series d15b2 valve spring removal, the bracket that hold the rod , calling it the legs, did align to the head to mount. There is a wide slot for bigger applications to mount to but didn't work on small Honda engine . Lack of instructions inside , but some videos of reviews of YouTube helped.

Worked very well. Great quality especially for the price. Used on volkswagen mk6 valve job, and on hyundai valve job. Worked great with no issues.
