2nd time is the charm
EDIT:This map works great. I have 4 year old twins that love playing with and learning from this map. The integrated games make it fun for them to learn and there are a ton of geography facts that keep them entertained each time they sit down to use it. It takes a few days for this map to completely flatten out due to shipping but once it does the map can be hung on a wall or used flat on the floor. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to make learning US geography fun for their kids.INITIAL REVIEW: Giving this two out of three stars because it's defective. Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico do not work. If you press Hawaii as a response to a question it turns the map off. Alaska and puerto rico do not respond at all. Aside from that I like the map. If it worked I imagine it would be a great learning tool for my kids. I'll revisit this once my replacement arrives.

Does Not Hold Up
This map worked great the first three times we used it. Then the internal circuitry stopped working, and now it repeats the same tag line over and over without recognizing any touch sensors. Not a cheap item to break so fast.

great learning toy. Used double stick tape along sides and bottom to help it remain fixed in the playroom and kids really enjoy it.

This is perfect for my son
This is perfect for my son. He is learning his map and this is great for him. It talks so he is amused, the battery last long. I'e had it for a year and I haven't changed the battery yet. It also looks very good on his wall as a room decoration. Perfect for young ones and even not the young ones.

Educational
Our grandson, 5, absorbs information like a sponge. The more he played the more he learned. Was disappointed that the yes and no buttons stopped working not too long after we got it.

Great Learning Tool
We bought this for my 8-year old son so he could practice his state capitals for school. It sounded like more fun than flash cards! We were certainly not disappointed either! He really enjoys going into his room to practice. Additionally, he has learned many other facts about the states along the way. He even beat his nana in the Race to the White House game! If you have a curious child who likes to play games this is a great tool.

My son absolutely loves this toy. It can be used laying on a flat surface or hanging on the wall. The only problem I have with it is that it's rather loud and doesn't have a volume button.
