Bolcolm fans, you will love these pieces. They are great for young students, especially those entering festivals and competitions.

I'm an old beginner, not a young beginner, but my teacher and I are enjoying each piece in this book. They progress from quite simple to not so simple, but each has clever, catchy rhythms and harmonies, and they all offer scope for interpretation and developing my musicality. Bolcom is best known for his Graceful Ghost Rag (and many other ragtime-inspired works). It's great to have these more approachable works to study; I enjoy playing them.
