Why did you pick this product vs others?:First time trying the brand, after a quick stretch and tune they sounded great. Not nearly as metallic sounding as some new strings and already hold tune pretty steady after being beat on a couple times and tuned back up.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My favorite strings for the Taylor GS Mini. Went through many Ernies, and tried some Martin strings also. Stopped looking when I found these.

Nice sound and quality

I couldn't believe how good they sound and how much like an electric they made my FS800 feel. I was expecting a loss of volume and projection. But was surprised that they sounded better than stock strings. Unless they break too often or do not maintain tuning stability, I don't know why I would want to use any other strings from here on.

I own 12 guitars (and counting) at the moment, 5 of which are acoustic. I have tried countless string brands and guages over 37 years. This pack has actually been in my string drawer for about a year and I just got to them. They are now my go to strings for my Takamine and Ibanez acoustics due to the un-wound G string which gives me the versatility to play acoustic solos on them, not to mention how bright they sound. So I give these strings 5 stars and highly recommend to anyone, especially if you want the ability to effortlessly bend notes on acoustic guitars.

Fantastic Strings! They brought my older Seagull back to life and it sounds great..!

These strings have exceeded my expectations. I bought a set and put them on an inexpensive, lightly built guitar that was designed for fingerstyle playing (Bedell OM). I expected them to sound "tinny" and have poor tone. I was wrong on both accounts. I liked them enough to buy another set which I put on an old Taylor rosewood dreadnaught. Again I was surprised by the clarity and tone. I am 72 and starting to get arthritis in my hands so the light tension is what I wanted to try. I play pretty much always play fingerstyle. I like the unwound G string. In my opinion it sounds cleaner and has less finger noise than a wound string. I was worried about the action but found on both guitars that I can keep things the same (3/32" Bass - 2/32" treble @ 12th fret) even in drop D tuning. They do require a lighter touch but you can still dig in pretty good once you get the feel for them. I thank D'Addario for coming up with this set, they will allow me to play longer with less hand pain afterward. I'm parking my Elixer lights for now and have ordered three more sets of these.
