Nylons are very thick in the upper region and likely incompatible with garter belts that have 1/4-inch wide straps and/or small plastic "grabbers". In other words, these nylons are intended for use with 1/2-inch wide "grabbers" that are steel. The nylons are designed to intentionally sag a little around the area where they are grabbed by the straps. This looks is the look they intend to deliver so if that was what you were looking for, this is it. The portion of the nylon below the thickened upper region is no different than a normal/standard pair of nylons so don't expect them to be 'run' proof.

***EDIT***I also ordered the black in a 4 large and they are much longer. They come up to the butt cheek as pictured. They are both still greatI am 5'4 in a size 8 American Eagle (every Jean is different) jeans. I ordered a 4 large. They fit great. I got the natural color and it's pretty light. I am fairly pale and they are even lighter. Reviews were all different on color so I was unsure which was the most like my skin tone. They came in about 2 days after placing the order and we're packaged nicely. Hope this helps

This is the third purchase I've made from this company, and true to the last purchases, has not disappointed in the slightest! The stockings come in a "fresh off the line" package expertly packed. The fabric looks and feels like quality, this is a great summer weight stocking for those balmy nights out and super comfortable. As with the other purchases I made, I know it's not going to run at the slightest snag. A great purchase to be sure, will purchase again! (Note: One does need a set of suspenders to keep these up, otherwise they'll pool around your ankles!)

Feels very nice against the skin. High quality. Fancy retro style French movie star look.. A bit smaller than I thought size “M” would be. I mean, I’m M or S and never L in clothes brands, so I expected M to be ok but it wasn’t. The rest of it I loved and reordered a bigger size.

I never got any fun from these. Take my advice, and stick to black.

I love this garter belt. I am 5’2, 120 and ordered a size small. It has an adjustable clasp and is a good stretchy material. Also- I put it on and felt so sexy. It’s so flattering.

I haven't been able to wear them for long yet, but they fit well and look beautiful.

There's no adhesive at the top of these stockings, that was the good news. The bad news was that the top few inches are too thick for my garter strap button and loop fasteners. I had to fold the tops down to fasten them. That probably stressed them too much because they laddered on the second wearing.
